Barreras interculturales en los negocios internacionales: Un análisis bibliométrico

Abstract

Los negocios internacionales implican relaciones económicas entre países que realizan transacciones más allá de sus fronteras. La cultura influye profundamente en la forma en que las personas comprenden y actúan en el mundo. Este estudio analiza las barreras interculturales en los negocios internacionales, destacando la necesidad de comprender las diferencias legales, culturales y comunicativas para alcanzar el éxito empresarial. Se aborda la diversidad cultural tanto como una fuente de creatividad como un desafío, revisando modelos teóricos como el de Hofstede y la teoría de la distancia cultural para explicar estas diferencias. El estudio adopta un enfoque bibliométrico, siguiendo el protocolo SPAR-4 SLR, para identificar tendencias, autores clave y conceptos predominantes en la investigación sobre barreras interculturales. Se analizaron 170 publicaciones indexadas en Scopus entre 1995 y 2023, seleccionadas mediante criterios temáticos. La depuración se realizó con Rayyan y el análisis bibliométrico con Excel, Bibliometrix-R y VOSviewer, complementado con un análisis descriptivo de contenido. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de los estudios están escritos en inglés, con una producción destacada en Estados Unidos y Reino Unido. Las revistas más influyentes fueron Journal of International Business Studies y Journal of Business Ethics. Los trabajos más citados tratan sobre competencias interculturales, medición de la cultura y metodologías asociadas. Los temas dominantes incluyen la comunicación intercultural, mientras que áreas como la inteligencia cultural y la gestión intercultural surgen como campos en desarrollo. Finalmente, se identifican líneas futuras de investigación centradas en enfoques multinivel y policontextuales que permitan abordar la complejidad de los equipos multiculturales.
